National President Leanne Lemley writes from Illinois: “January 28: Met at Moline, Illinois, airport by Department President Cheryl and Ladies Auxiliary. Off to hotel, then to dinner with Department Commander Joe, Ladies Auxiliary and VFW. January 29: Tour of Rock Island Arsenal works and history tour. Ended tour at shooting range to test-fire M14 rifle! Lunch at local tavern/diner. Evening banquet at Post #8890 with Aisle of Flags, city official, book author of local Hero Street, Ladies Auxiliary and VFW members, delicious meal and great time. January 30: Tour Isabel Bloom, Wow! Lunch at local pub and tour of John Deere showroom (hands-on). End evenig at Circa 21 dinner theater, “Hank Williams Last Highway.” GREAT TIME. Thanks, Cheryl!!”


Many love gifts were presented to Naitonal President Leanne Lemley, including one from Department President Cheryl Michel.


East Moline Alderman Helen Heiland presents a proclamation to the National President. 


During a tour of the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, which produces products for overseas military personnel, the National President fires an M14 rifle.
