Community Service Program

The goal of the Community Service program is to cooperate with other organizations to serve our communities.

2010-2011 Initiatives:
- Veterans History Project through the Library of Congress,
www.loc.gov/vets Help collect the stories of America's Heroes, our veterans, using the resources on the Library of Congress' web site above.
- Make A Difference Day, serving communities nationwide with projects to benefit fellow citizens,
www.makeadifferenceday.com or 1-800-416-3824

There are hundreds of ways to serve your community not listed here. Find out what needs there are for the citizens of your town or city, and help meet those needs as a living memorial to the those who have fought for the rights and privileges we enjoy.

History

Since its inception in 1950, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW has donated both time and money to benefit the community. The Community Service program was the seventh national program adopted by the Ladies Auxiliary VFW.
